Does DIploma certificate is mandatory for h1 stamping

HI

i did my masters in us and i got my h1b approved on 2012. iam plaing to go to visa in vancover in month of may

since i converted from f1 to h1 if they ask me higher degree certificate can i show the proof of completion certificate given by univ since for to get diploma certificate it may take 4 to 6 weeks and i had family emergency i need to go to india .

Please suggest me .

Normally one receives a diploma at the commencement immediately following the completion of the requirements so I do not understand the problem if you graduated in 2012.

yes, I have that. But the orginal course diploma completion certificate i dont have that.. i already applied for diploma certificate but it takes likes 4 to 8 weeks.
