Vinod Kumar Posted April 22, 2013 Report Share Posted April 22, 2013 I have applied for my L1 extension and received a RFE for it. The last date to apply is May 31st. I had also applied fresh H1 in Premium mode and it went to RFE. One of the criteria is status of my current L1 B petition status. Is my H1 approval is based on my current L1 B approval ? What will happen if my current L1B extn got denied or I withdraw the extesnion ? Please help Link to comment
t75 Posted April 22, 2013 Report Share Posted April 22, 2013 H1B and L1 are independent. However, if you are not is a valid status, you will not be able to COS to H1B but will have to go for consular processing. Do not accrue illegal presence and get a ban from entry. Link to comment

I am only worried if my L1 extension get rejected , will it affect H1 approval .. If its going to affect then I can withdraw the L1 extension and go back so that H1 will get approved ...
