Radha1982
Hello everyone, Please help me regarding one of the query related to DS-160 form. I am currently in US from last 5 and 1/2 years on F1 and then on H1 visa. I am getting married on 2nd June 2013 and I booked H4 visa appointment date for my fiancee on 12th and 13th June 2013 for Mumbai consulate. I filled all forms (DS-160) last week to book the appointment in advance for June. In DS-160 form, it ask about my fiancee marital status. ( Single or married ) she entered it as married. but somebody told me that it need to be "Single" as she is currently Single at the time when she filled the DS-160 FORM. I am confused with this, as her Visa appointment day (13th June) is after marriage date (2nd June). She will be married that time having marriage certificate, marriage album and other relevant documents prepared for Visa Interview. Please provide your valuable suggestion. Thanks and Regards Radha Link to comment
madz
Hi Radha, I have been in the same situation earlier ,we mentioned "married " in ds-160 and we got our h4 visa approved Its okay to mention "Married" in the marital status , while filing out the DS -160 form. At the time of interview you need to have ur marriage certificate and photo album. Good luck Link to comment
wiweq
Fill the current state, current means the date you are filling the information. You don't know anything about the future, that’s VO presumes. Link to comment
