Gap between two jobs, after new H1B is Approved

Hi,

I am currently employed at Company A, and in process of H-1B with a new company B. Company B has filed for premium processing, with scheduled work start date of 13th May (Allowing enough time to get H-1B approved and provide 2 weeks notice period to current employer).

Post approval, I plan to resign from Company A on 29th April with anticipated release on 10th May.

1) I hope gap of just weekend between last date of current employer (10th May) and joining date of new employer (13th May) would not cause any issues on my status, provided new H1B is already approved.

2) If my current employer decides to let me go immediately or sooner than 10th May, this 'Gap' may increase to two weeks maximum.. Would that be an issue ? or would I fall out of status? (provided new H1B is already approved?)
