I came to Us in 2009. I finished my master and I'm on Opt now and I applied for H1B . I applied for Regular process on April 2nd 2013.

1. How many Day it will take to get the receipt Number.

2. How many days they will take to deposit the check.

USCIS has indicated it may take several weeks to issue receipt notices for regular processing cap subject petitions that were selected in the lottery. Your employer should monitor whether the checks have been cashed and keep a look out for the receipt notice in the mail. Alternatively, if your case is not selected USCIS will return the H1B package to the employer or attorney of record.

My new employer just filed for my H1 - b transfer on 04/15/13. When can i expect for a receipt. Is there a particular time period USCIS has for sending out receipts?

Also how long does it usually take for an H1 - b transfer to be approved.

i still haven't received the receipt from USCIS for the transfer petition that was filed on 4/15/13. Any clue any one? Please help
