The same company A applied for my H1B which is still in process. I got another job offer with company B and I wish to take that offer up. Assuming that my H1B with company A gets approved can I get my H1B transferred to company B before the H1B start date on Oct 1st'13. Please let me know on what needs to be done in order to transfer. Thank you.

I was told by my lawyer that I should be with company A (like in nicky123's scenario) as of October 1st and only then Company B can apply for a H1B transfer. Correct me if this is not true. Regards N
