rohitchaubey
I got my first H1b stamping done successfully in New Delhi on March 25th 2013. I am a FTE and had transferred my visa from L1 to H1. The OFC center process is really a formality with no real issues other than the wait time. I had scheduled my OFC appointment on Sunday afternoon thus the center was packed. It took me 1.5 hours to get the OFC thing done. The next day(Monday) was my visa interview. I was scheduled for 9:00 AM and post initial haggling, was at the counter at 9:15 AM. Following were the visa interview questions: Gave the VO(lady) my passport which had I797 and the appointment confirmation page VO: Good morning Me: Good Morning Mam VO: Where are you working presently? Me: XXX VO: What do you do? Me: explained in brief. However I did forget to mention my designation VO: Since when are you working there? Me: 10 months VO:How long have you been in US? Me: XXX years VO: What's your salary? Me: XXX per annum VO: Your visa has been approved. You will recieve your passport after processing. She handed me a blue phamplet which had "Congratulations! Your visa has been approved" written on it. I checked my status online in the evening and it said" administrative processing". I was a little scared but still hopeful. Next morning (tuesday), I got an email saying "Your passport is ready for pick up" Link to comment
