H1 extension for recapture time after a short gap on H4

Hi,

My 6 yrs H1 period has expired recently and I applied for H4 before it get expired.

My company has files for Perm (GC process start) and I am still wait waiting for PERM / I-140.

Now my company has filed for H1 extension in premium processing for the recaturing the 100 days I was on vacation out of US during those 6 yrs.

Now, once I get H1 extension, do I have to go out of US for stamping Visa on my passport?

Since this one will be a COS from H4 to H1, do I have to go to India for Visa stamping?

Will appeciate for your guidance.
