nycprofessional
I am seeking some guidance here. I am currently working for a Big 4 public accounting firm for the past 3.5 years on an H1B Visa. Prior to this I worked for a cap-exempt employer (research organization) for approx. 2.5 years. Would the time worked for the cap-exempt employer be counted towards the 6 year H1B visa limit. Any advise, suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment
Attorney_6
Yes, the time spent working for cap-exempt employers is counted toward the 6-year limit. The employers are cap exempt, but that does not change the individual's time limit! Link to comment
