H4 visa - Name change on passport required.

Dear Admin,

My wife changed her middle and last name after marriage, she is in india, I am on H1b visa. Does she need to change her name on the passport or any updates on passport prior to applying for h4 visa or can she apply using her previous name?

She has the marriage certificate.

Please help.

Not sure how long passport change takes in india these days.
