usfromuk
Hi, Thanks in advance for any advise. A new employer has applied H1b for me. Lets assume it starts getting processed on April 15th. My current employer wants to apply for L1. I am not too keen on letting any of them know about the other visa petition. Q1 --> Is that possible ? Or do I have to declare in some form for L1 about H1b pending ? Q2 --> Can L1 & H1b be processed in parallel ? Q3 --> If so, and if both gets approved, can I choose which visa I am getting stamped finally ? I am outside US (in UK) curently. Or the order in which the applications were made not give me that choice ? TIA. Link to comment
0407
Q1--> Yes, you need not let one employer know about the petition of the other Q2-->Yes Q3-->You can get on or both stamped and at the time of entering US declare on which visa you are entering. You need to carry proof of employment with the employer based on whose visa you are entering Link to comment
usfromuk
Thanks 0407. The H1b lottery is probably going to say spoil sport here so the question might soon become irrelevent :-( But it helps to have the information. Link to comment
usfromuk
If both h1b and l1 are approved and one chooses to enter US on L1, would the l1 employer be able to get the the h1b tranferred to itself ? Link to comment
