Applying for Canadian TRV online ?

Hello,

Has anyone (on H1B / H4) applied for a Canadian Tourist Visa online ? Are we eligible to apply online ? How was the experience & how did the process work after you submitted the application?

if you have itinerary and invitation(us visa confirmation) you can apply , but it will take 45days min, but if you apply by mail by sending original passport, it will only take one month.......i applied online onlin feb 20th and sent original passport on march 20th, still waiting for my passport.

Agree with Ravi, the online application seems tempting, but is the worst of all options wrt processing time.

You upload all necessary documents online, including photo, and pay by credit card. Then it's a black hole. CIC takes at least a month to approve, and then asks for your passport. You send the passport to either NY or LA consulate, and it take at least another 2 weeks to get it back. So a total of minimum 6 weeks.

Seems like in-person or mail-in submissions are better options, take about a month total.
