New H1B 2014 -Receipt Notice

Hi All,

I have got a question regarding the new H1B filed by my employer ,once the application is sent to USCIS what kind of conformation will be there from their end?when will the receipt notice be issued?there is a chance for lottery this year,so how can we check if we are entered the lottery or even picked in the lottery?Kindly answer these questions,i am a first timer for H1B.

If your application is not selected in the lottery, the employer will get it back, unopened.
