I would like to get an H1B sponsorship but I need to be in status until Oct. 1, 2013. F1 is not an option, so I'm thinking of filing for B2. Do I need to file now or just before the H4 expiration (to make sure I get a valid B2 until Oct. 1)? What will be the start date of B2 if I apply now? Thank you. Link to comment

If you are planning to work on H1 this year, then by this time you should have found a sponsor and prepared all the documentation for H1. Link to comment
