MyProfile
Hi, Currently I'm pursuing my double MS on F1 status and it is valid till May 2014. I'm planning to apply for H1 this April and also planning to travel out of country in August. Now my question is if my H1 gets approved do I need to go for H1 stamping in August even though it starts on Oct 31st? Or can I return back on my F1 in Aug because my H1 starts on Oct 1st. wiweq
If you go after approval, you don't need to go for stamping. Once you come back to USA, you status will automatically change to H1b on Oct 1st. Link to comment
gcseeker547
Do you have a job that supports your petition, any client or vendor letter? If not, chances of getting RFE is likely. answering your question. H1b status technically starts on oct 1st even though it is approved(in your case). you can travel on your F1 visa until your status changes to H1b. Link to comment

MyProfile
Thanks everyone! SPR47: yes, I do have client letter to support my petition. Currently I'm working on CPT sponsored by Employer 'X' and working for a client 'Y' through vendor 'Z'. Do you have a job that supports your petition, any client or vendor letter?
