anyone applied for OPT? what is the current timeline?

I was planning to apply in mid-april once I submit my thesis. however, I already have a job that I can continue into which means I would like to start work on June 1.

I'm trying to find out how long the approval process takes currently?

It depends on the USCIS service center for submitting your I-765 application for employment authorization. The USCIS standard processing time for I-765 applications for F-1 OPT is 3 months. You can submit your I-765 application 90 days before the completion of your degree.
