p0tta
Hi, I am planning to apply for my wife's H1B and maybe it's too late for this year but what are the predictions of the quota if it is going to get over on Day 1 this year or is it going to go till 5-10 days. I have heard both cases. Getting over on Day 1 and also 5-10 days. Also if we apply for LCA on Monday which is 3/25, what are the chances of getting LCA approved in 5 business days? Link to comment
wiweq
5 days for LCA is good enough. Historically, in the case of lottery, USCIS waits to get all petitions will Apr 5th and then they do the random selection. Link to comment
JoeF
Nothing will be over on day 1. What they do is they see after day 5 how many applications they have. If they have enough to fill the quota, they will hold a lottery from all the applications they received until day 5. So, it doesn't matter if the application is filed on day 1 or day 5, the chances are the same. Link to comment
