Regarding OPT

Hello All! I completed my MS in Industrial Engineering in 2007 and used OPT of 12 months.

Then got H-1 B from 1 October 2008 and got it stamped in passport. But I came to home country in August 2009 due to lay-off.

Since then working in home country.

My question is if I go to USA again on F-1 visa and complete another Master Degree, am I am going to get OPT again or not? As I have already exhausted 12 months OPT with my MS degree.

you wouldnt get another OPT..but why dont you try H1B rather.

I guess you won't be eligible for OPT for the second time for the same degree.

As posted by others, a single 12 month post-completion OPT employment authorization is available for each degree level, i.e. bachelors, Masters, Ph.D. Since you have already used OPT for your first Masters you are not eligible for OPT on a second masters.
