suhailj Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 Hello All, I am about to apply for my H1 B visa on 1st April , but I have lost the Copy of my Masters Diploma and I cannot get a new one in such a short notice.Any Suggestion?? My university is providing me with a copy of letter which states that I graduated in Year 2010.How would this affect my processing.
Attorney_11 Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 The USCIS will either accept the letter from the university registrar or they will send a Request for Evidence for the degree certificate at some point in the future. It may be helpful to discuss this matter with a qualified immigration attorney.
venky144 Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 just apply in masters quota with the letter u get...also apply for degree certificate and keep it handy.... in case u get any rfe's regarding masters certificate in fututre....u have the copy..... 2 of my friends were in same situation...one got rfe requesting degree certificate and his got approved once submitted the certificate and other got approved without any rfe.... so dont apply in regular quota...apply in masters quota only
