us_f1h1gc Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Hello All, I wanted to share this interesting/disgusting piece of information that I witnessed lately. I work in a EVC model and my end client issues contract verification letters for all third-party contractors for H1b extensions & stamping purpose without any hesitations. They have been giving out these letters to hundreds of contractors and eveyone that I know of had a successful visa stampings. Recently a communications was sent out saying they are going to stop issuing such letters to all contractors. The reason was - USCIS has advised them not to give out such letters to third-party contractors. I don't understand how can one deal with such situations, where consulate asks for client letter and USCIS imposes such restrictions? Inputs??
venky144 Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 genuine article on uscis website please???
JoeF Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 USCIS doesn't advise companies about such things. The client apparently has decided on their own to not give out client letters anymore, they just use the cheap excuse of blaming it on somebody else which can't be verified.
us_f1h1gc Posted March 18, 2013 Author Report Posted March 18, 2013 This is not something that was published on their website. My client's HR dept forwarded the email that they got from USCIS to vendor and inturn vendor forwarded the same to all contractors. That is how I came to know about it.
Hank_82 Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 This sounds more of your client's individual opinion or some misunderstanding / mis-communication. Recheck with them. As an alternative, you can take their email reply, mentioning the same, what they mentioned you.
