Like developing an app independently (for himseld only not for any other company) and selling it to App store ? or may be doing some free lance development work for a company based out of India? I understand H4 can not work for a employer and enter in a regular payroll situation but how about independent work as I stated above? Thanks ! Link to comment
JoeF Posted March 16, 2013 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 No, that is NOT possible. On H4, a person can NOT work, NOT in a physical store and NOT online. NOT as employee and NOT self-employed. In short, a person on H4 can NOT work AT ALL. Link to comment

It does not matter where the employer is, it does not matter where the person gets paid, or if at all, a person on H4 while in the US can not work. Link to comment

On H4 you cannot work from US. So working online is also treated as work since the person is in US physically. So work on H4. Link to comment
