rajkumar_469
Hello, My current H1B visa is valid for September 30th and i already have VISA stamped till September 30th. I am planning for my wedding in August and i would like to extend my VISA before i go to wedding. I'll return back to US in September first week or second week. but i am not interested to attend VISA stamping interview in INDIA. I would like to go to stamping in Canada. Do i have any problems in port of entry if my extension got approved and didn't have stamping extension? i would like to return to USA before my current VISA stamping expires (Sep 30th). Once i return to USA i'll go to canada for VISA stamping interview later. Please advice me and let me know if you require any additional details. Thanks, Raj Link to comment
Guy_H1B
I was in the same situation as you. I entered just 11 days before my visa was going to expire but I had my H1 extension with me. So at port of entry I showed to the officer the new extension even before she asked about it and she entered the date in I-94 as mentioned in my H1 extension. Make sure you get the H1 extension before you travel. Link to comment
