H1-B Petition Transfer Query

Hi,

I am residing in India. My current employer would be filling for H1-B when the cap opens in April.

I am in process of interviewing with another Indian company and might change my job in coming months.

In case, my petition gets approved and I switch to the new employer, will I be cap exempt? i.e. can my new employer file for H1-B processing without getting counted under cap.

Secondly, what will happen if my old employer cancels the petition when I make the switch.

Please advise if there are any things that needs to be kept in mind before I make job change so that I maintain my H1-B eligibility.
