Is my H1B still valid and eligible for transfer?

Hello,

Company A filed first petition, valid from 10/01/2009 to 09/24/2012.

Company B filed a transfer, valid from 10/20/2010 to 05/16/2013.

I left the United States on 08/26/2011 and haven't gone back yet. I am looking for jobs and don't know what to say when they ask if I need a new H1B visa. I have been out of the country for 18-19 months.

- Can I use the "remainder" of my H1B when I am looking for a job, e.g. is it legal for me to state that my H1B is still valid and a transfer is satisfactory to work for Company C?

- If the above is true, how can I calculate how much time is left on my H1B? When Company A filed for the first time, my H1B was valid until September 30, 2015. Since, I have been out of the United States for 18-19 months, can I add this onto that end date?

- How can I prove that I left the United States on August 2011 and never went back? Can I request entry/exit records?
