H4 to H1 transfer while H4 Extension is in progress

I am on H1 and my wife is on H4 - both petitions and our I-94s are expiring on 7/1/13. Extensions have been filed for H1/H4 by my employer and are in initial review. My wife is getting her H1 filed on 4/1/13 by an employer under premium processing. I have the receipts for the extensions filed.

My question is: For my wife's H1, would having extension receipts for our H1/H4 be sufficient or could they see it as an issue since her status on H4 thru 10/1/13 is still not assured. Can anyone please share your experience with a similar situation? Basically, filing for H1 on Apr 1st while current H4 expires before 10/1?
