H1B visa transfer while in India

Hello,

My H1B visa extension petition was approved while I was in US last year. It has been extended till August 2014. After I came back from US, I quit my H1B sponsor organization and joined another company which also has operations in US. My visa wasnt stamped after I came back and I currently do not have the latest I-797 document with me. My question is will my new employer be able to transfer my H1B visa assuming my previous employer has already cancelled my extension petition ?
