I am on H1B since Nov 2012, Did masters in US non IT major F1-->OPT--->H1

I am in EVC model. With same employer all the time but changed couple of clients. With current client since last three months.

Came to india for my marriage and went to stamping along with my Wife (H4)

Visa interview on March 7th.

Interview

VO: Give me your passports

Me: Gave both passports.

VO: Give me your DS-160 and I797

Me: Gave

VO: I never heard of XXXX(my employer ) what do they do?

Me: XXXX is a software consulting company that provide services to fortune 500 company's Regular bla..bla... VO not interested in what i was saying.

VO: How long with your employer?

Me: 1.5 years

VO: Give me your pay slips

Me; Gave last 6 months pay slips. VO went through it very quickly. Didn't cross check any thing. ( I have different amounts in each pay stub.)

VO: Where did you go to school?

Me: yyyy university in zzzz Place

VO: Is Johny Manzel from your college? ( You will know him if you follow college football)

Me: He is from Texas A&M. Actually we have rivalry with that college (with a big smile). At this point i was confident i will get my visa approved.

Chatted little bit about College football.

VO to my wife: Do have any idea what we are talking about?

My Wife: NO

VO to my wife: When did you get married?

wife: told the date.

Me: i am here on vacation for my marriage

VO: congrats...so you are taking the new to bride to US

VO: Is it arranged marriage or love marriage?

Wife: Arranged marriage

VO: Who arranged you marriage?

Me: Parents and common relatives.

VO: Good luck. Your visas are approved and kept our passports.

Like everyone else i was hesitant to go for VISA interview in Hyderabad. But it was very smooth and very straight forward.

Almost everyone who attended VISA interview got the visa approved when i was there, some on H1, H4, visitor visa for old couple and F1

VO asked for pay slips from almost all of them. (only pay slips)

My advise: Be confident in answering and there is always that element of luck.

Good luck.
