Hi , I am on H1B curently with a visa valid till Aug 2013 . My wife is currently in US with H4 visa and planning to apply for H1B in this year . My employer is filling for my extension for next one year but he is not willing to do Premium processing which means my full processing takes next 2 - 3 months from now . 1 ) Can I apply H1B In April for my wife when My H1b And her H4 extension is in process . 2 ) Can I extend only my H1b and file H1b for my wife which means her H4 visa will be valid till Aug only .

I am also in the similar situation. i wanted to add one more query to the above post. If i get my H1 approved, can i decide that i dont need my H1 and can i cancel my H1. and in that case will i be back to my L1B visa?
