Rocky_CSC Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Hello All, Can you let me know how long it's taking to process the Canada visitor visa by mail these days if we apply to the Seattle consulate? The consular website says 35 days- just trying to get a feel of the timelines so that I can plan my visa stamping date accordingly. Is there any requirement to only apply to Seattle consulate if we reside in Seattle or I can send the documents to any consulate? The LA consular site says 15 days to process mail applications, so thinking of sending the documents to LA consulate if it's OK. I'd appreciate if you can share your experiences. Thanks, Rocky

mirage09 Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 Yes, you can apply at any Canadian consulate. Not sure about the current processing times in Seattle.
an0n Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 You can file online. By mail it took me a month at New York.
Rocky_CSC Posted March 4, 2013 Author Report Posted March 4, 2013 Thanks folks for your replies. Per http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2013-01-29.asp, it looks like Seattle consulate is closed effective from 01/29/2013.
john1 Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 I got my Canada visa in 15 days at LA consulate
