Changing Employer before H1 Stamp

I have recently change my status from L1 to H1. I have the H1 approval with me, however it is not stamped in my passport. Wanted to check if I can change my employer at this stage. Is it a must to have the stamping done before changing the employer or I can change my employer before the stamping done in my passport. Appreciate if someone can help me here.

visa stamp is no way related to employer change.

visa stamp is an entry document required to enter into US.
