L1 holder marrying someone on tourist visa in the US

Hi all:

I am currently on an L1-A visa and planning to get married to someone who is currently in Canada on student visa but has a US tourist visa. We both are Indian citizens.

Would it be advisable to get married in the US, then make a trip overseas to get her an L2 visa to bring her back in States? Request your quick comments.
