sonal15
Hi, My question might be little different or silly, but I would like to know how the system works. I did a COS from H4 - H1b and had same I94 number in the approved petition. After approval I went to india & came back on h4 and got different I94 number than the one in I797 approval. On Oct 1st my h1b activated now I would like to go back to India & again wanted to come back on H4 so basically i would be giving the I94 card from the passport [entry with H4 visa]while leaving US. I wanted to know how the system track the entry and exit, is it using the I94 number or the name of the person. ? Please share your thoughts. Link to comment
JoeF
You always get a new I-94 when you enter the country (except for students on F1.) Link to comment
sonal15
I am aware that we get a new I94 each time we enter. I want to know how the system track the entry and exit, is it only with I94 number or name of the person?. I would be just giving the I94 card which i have in the passport , but my current I94 number is different to the one i have in passport. Please share your thoughs Link to comment
