Murthy forum helped me a lot and it's payback time/.

Sent an email to torontoNIV for PIMS update on 19th feb.

Appointment on Feb 25 @8:30 AM.

Went to consulate at 7.50 and the Security guard asked to stand in the line.

Checked the Appointment letter , passport and allowed inside.

Went through security screening .

Another person checked DS-160 & passport and kept them in a blue folder.

Asked her how to change the loomis location and she gave me a sheet with instructions and asked to change it with in 12 hrs from interview.

Waiting in the queue and called to a counter. She asked for my H1B document and gave the token number.

My token was called and went to a counter. She took my finger prints and asked for new photo as my photo in ds-160 is not good. she told to wait and my token number will be called again.

After 15-20 mins of waiting my token was called.

VO was a chinese guy.

Greeted him but he looks very serious with no smile on his face.

Q:so your name is XXX

Then he stamped something on my F1 visa and told that my information is not updated in their system and it may take additional 2 days for administrative processing and gave a white sheet with instructions on how to pick up the passport. He kept my Passport & h1b copy with him.

At this point i was confused and asked him if my visa was approved.

He replied --'technically it was not approved but everything should be fine.It is just an issue related to PIMS'

Took the white instructions sheet ,said thank you and returned back/.

No Document other than I-797 was asked/.

When i returned to room and checked the email ,i got the reply from PIMS.

Thank you for contacting the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto.

We are unable to verify your information in PIMS as this process is not done ahead of the visa interview.

We regret that our response cannot be more favorable at this time.
