Shoeman
Dear All, I am on H1B working for an American company in USA. I have an approved I140 and my H1B Visa and Petition are valid till the end of the year, 2013. Now my Company wants me to go to Japan on Japan Business Visa for a period of 3 weeks next month. Since i am quite a novice with immigration laws, here are my questions : 1) Is it legal for me to travel to Japan on Japan Business Visa with my H1B status ( to that matter, can i travel to any place outside USA while being in H1B) 2) Does getting Japan Business Visa or travelling to Japan in any way affect my immigration status or my GC process. I would really appreciate quick help on this. Thanks, Sanaya Link to comment
Shoeman
1) yes. 2) no. You are good. No need to worry as it's perfectly fine to visit Japan without affect your H1B or GC. Thanks for your quick response , is there any documents i need to carry ? Thanks, Sanaya Link to comment
t75
Keep all of your travel documents from this trip in a safe place. You may need them in later immigration processing. Link to comment
