I saw from the letter that we can courier the documents ,but do we need to send in the passport too to get the application processed ,or passport is the last step of the process after all the verification Please let me know because i am not able to clearly decide to go to india for a vacation or stay back till everything is resolved .

HI,I read in couple of other previous posts. Going to india while getting 221g. Everyone suggested to stay in canada untill the case is resolved. In one case ,the person went to india after 221g. Later he received a mail asking to submit his passport. when he submitted his passport, his status again changed to administrative processing and it took around 4 months to resolve the case.

Feb25th _March 20 : No update to the status or date March 20 : Date Updated , but the status is still Administrative Processing . March 25: Clearance Email from Consulate , requesting to submit the Passport . March 28: Submitted the Passport . April 04 : Picked up the passport and returned back to US the Same Day . Immigration : Where do you live in USA? ME : IO:Who do you work For . ME:My employer Details IO: What do you do ME: I am a Programmer IO : Took my fingerprinting and photo . IO: What is your Job Title ME: Programmer Analyst IO : Took 6 $ and issued me I-94 Guys Murthy forums has been of great help , Also in the meanwhile i went to India for 10 days ,Lot of folks in the forum and elsewhere suggested not to go to india citing second 221 g , But i had seen people who got 2nd 221g even statying in canada all along . I think it purely depends on the individual case and going to india has nothing to do with getting a 221g . Thanks to murthy forums and all the contributors of the forum.
