H1 B Amednment -H1 Visa Stamping

Hello,

I am planning to go to Visa Interview in April 2013.My employer would be filing for my H1-Amendement.

I believe once H1 Amedment is done, I would get a new receipt number and I am assuming it would take atleast 2-4 weeks for H1 Amedment with premium processing.

Question: Can I book visa slot with my current I 797 receipt number and then modify the receipt number once I get new 1-797 receipt number after H1 Amendment ?

Yes , You can Do that....Please Fill the DS-160 Form and get the application Id, With that Application Id you can book visa slot, late you can change the details...ATB
