Travel on OPT Extension When H1 B filed in Premium and approved.

Hi,

I am on opt extension and it will expire on 12/12/2013.I am planning of travel to India in may for 5 weeks.So,my Employer is planning to apply for H1 B in premium process in April.So,if i was approved H1B can i travel to India?. Does any thing effect me while coming back at port of entry?

change of status , H1 B approval or anything etc.....
