Bobby3090 Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Hi All, I'm going in person to New york to apply Canada visitor visa with my family and I have couple of questions. 1) do I need to fill this form Statutory Declaration of Common-law Union (IMM 5409)? 2) Can I submit my in person my Family application as well with out my wife? Thanks!
rangadu Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 1) I guess No. Few years ago I asked the lady at the Canadian consulate if I need to fill the form and she said, 'not required if you are married'. That led me to believe this declaration is meant for 'not legally married' couples a.k.a civil unions. I am not sure of 2.
h1b1010 Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 @Q2: I recently got my Canada visit visa at LA consulate office. They are not accepting any walk-ins from Nov 2012. You need to mail them.
