iham Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 Hi everyone, does any one applied for the Canada Visa after getting DUI? My case is that I got DUI on Oct 2011 and completed all the required tasks that I need to do. I have all the documents which proves that I have completed all the neccasy court penalisations except the clearence letter from the court. I tried to contact court but they are saying that they don't give that sort of letter. Below is the question that was asked in the application for canada visa. I am not sure what I need to answer because i was convicted as miss demeanor not the criminal offense. Have you ever committed, been arrested for, been charged with or convicted of any criminal offence in any country? So I am wondering If I would be eligible to apply for the Canda Visa? If so what additional documents that I need to submit? and what additional application forms that I need to submit? I am checking the documents in the Canda Embassy online but it is little bit confusing.
Attorney_11 Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 It is advisable to seek the counsel of a qualified Canadian immigration attorney as it is well known that Canada has stringent rules regarding the admission of individuals convicted of DUI offenses.
