Can I get Canadian visitor next year in Jan for appearing L1B renew interview? In other words - Is Canadian visitor visa is some how related to US visa expiry date and people can get canadian tourist visa even if US visa is expired. Appreciate your feedback here.
itsmeusa Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 Canada visitor visa is not related to US Visa expiry date, however you need to explain your intent to go to Canada and intent to return back after your Canada trip. I went in Jan for H-1B visa interview. I applied for Canada visitor visa in Nov and attached notarized self-affadavit explaining the details. Hope this helps. Best of luck.
