H1-B Interview successfull - Status Admin Processing Please help

hi

my friend just now had h1-b interview in hyderabad.

vo asked just 3 questions and given back all the documents and kept the passport with him and said visa is approved , did some stamp on passport and said u will get the passport soon dont wory about it.

when we check the status online it says admin processing with below message.

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

will the passport come to home or delivery center( Hyderabad location ) that we selected while booking the interview .

Is visa approved or not ? or is just regular process to keep status in admin processing before they get stamp on passport.

can any one share if they have any idea about this .

sometimes this thing happens.....mostly ur visa is approved...but if later on..VO thinks it needs admin processing..he changes the status there itself.....so passport delivery and status confirmation is delayed...wait for an update from embassy

Hello - somewhere in this forum, I read that, even if VO tells you the visa is approved, the online CEAC web-site shows "Admin Processing" and after 2/3 days, it will be changed to "Issued". If you have not received 221-G form, I would not worry more about online status.
