EAD renewal issue

Hi all,

Good morning. Can someone please clarify my below doubt.

My wife’s EAD expires in Jul 13. She is going to India in Jun 13 and will be back on her H4 visa in Jan 14. Her H4 is valid till 01 Oct 14. She has not used her EAD up till now.

Does she need to renew her EAD before it expires or can she come back from India and ask for its renewal (mind you it expires in Jul 13).

A quick answer would be much appreciated.
