nar Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 I have a B1/B2 visa with multiple entries valid for 10 years. My employer wants me to travel to US in this April on B1 and while I am in US they will file my H1B COS. As H1B will be effective from 10/1, I need to stay for 6 months on my B1 for COS to be valid. As I am staying for 6 months on B1, does USCIS approve my H1B petition? Does it have any other impact? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance..
JoeF Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 On a B1, you can not work for a US employer. And a foreign employer can't file an H1.
