H1B visa extension query

Hi,

My I-94 is expiring on June 18, 2013 and my H1B Visa is till Aug1 2013.

My Company is already in the process of applying for my H1B extension with my present I-94 details.I am planning to visit India on the last week of April.

But while coming back from India I will receive a new I-94 from the point-of-entry.

Do I need to update this new I-94 details in my already raised H1B extension after coming back? If by that time my visa gets approved do I need to do an amendment for the new I-94?

Please suggest.

If you leave USA while extension is still in process, your extension of status will be denied. Better to do this H1b in PP and leave USA only after your H1b is approved.
