kamy Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Hi Team, My PERM has applied in Nov-05-2012 from Richmond VA state and recently I moved to Charlotte NC working for the same company and I started gettting new paystubs for charlotte state. Please let me know whether I need to update USCIS for my new address change so that DOL will know this information or shall I wat for the PERM decision.. Please update ASAP. Thanks
Attorney_11 Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Noncitizens must keep the USCIS updated with their address contemporaneous with changing address, utilizing Form AR-11 (paper or online) and calling USCIS to update address on any pending applications. Changing address with USCIS does not update address with US DOL, as they are different federal agencies. Moving may have an effect on the pending PERM if there is a change in the offered job. One should discuss this closely with authorized counsel representing them for the preparation and filing of the Labor Certification.
blancx Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 Attorney _11 - And what if the offered job is the same? I may experience such a situation. The current lease at my workplace is up for renewal and my boss (the owner of the business) is looking to move. So in my case, I will be performing the exact same role, but from our new office (which may also be in the same zip code). Would there be an issue in my case? We are currently in the PWD stage. kamy, any updates? Thanks.
