Background :

==========

I'm in my 6th yearof my H1B and I have my current H1 until Apr'2014. My I-140 approved)

I'm a FTE and 'm with my company(1000 employees and NYSE listed) from last 3years.

I got my Visa stamped in Feb 2010 at New Delhi. But I got 221g before getting my Visa.

The VO thought my company was a consulting company and asked for client letter, employee details with Salaries.

However after my company and attorney wrote a letter capturing all the details about my company I got my visa.

Appointment was at 9am. all H1B candidates were let inside at 8:15am bypassing many people who were ahead of us and was given a token on checking in. I had to wait 10mins before my token showed up.

Me: Good Morning Officer

VO1: Good Morning, how are you all?

ME: XXXXX

VO1: Are you here to renew H1B?

ME: XXXXX

VO1: I don't know much about H1B visa let me transfer you to our H1 expert.

He handed over my docs to a different officer and he said the other VO will call me when he is ready.

After 3-4 mins VO2 called me by name and I went to the counter.

Me: Good Morning Officer

VO2: Good Morning, how are you all?

ME: XXXXX

VO2: Are you here to renew H1B?

ME: XXXXX

VO2: Are you working for the same Employer for this renewal?

ME: XXXXX

VO2 : Is your earlier stamping with the same company?

ME:Yes(even before I answered he said I see it its with same company.)

VO2: Can I see the letter from yor company?

ME: Gave the letter from HR

VO2: Did your employer file your immigration petetion?

ME: XXXXX

VO2 : What is the status of it?

ME: It is approved, I gave the copy but he didn't bother to see it.

VO2: What is your salary $$?

ME:XXXX

VO2:what does your company do?

ME:XXXX

VO2: where do you work,location

ME:XXXX

That's all...then he said "Check back at the consulate around 3:00PM to receive the passports but I can't assure, else check tomorrow"

I got the passport same day at 3pm.
