venky144 Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 most of the people are suggesting to send an email to consulate as well as pims@state.gov in order to verify their pims status or verify if their application is updated in pims database... does this really work??? or did anyone get a reply stating that their pims is verified and updated/uploaded... this question is for people who attended or about to attend interview in canada only for h1b visa stamping... one of my friend went for visa interview at Vancouver and he emailed consulate as well as above email address a week before is interview... but the thing is even he got a reply from V.O that, he cant verify in pims, he would get details to collect his passport once his petition is verified in pims.... help me out..plz...thanks in advance
an0n Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 Check here - I listened to my friends and sent an email to the embassy. This is reply i got, -- Thank you for contacting the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto. We are unable to verify your information in PIMS as this process is not done ahead of the visa interview. We regret that our response cannot be more favorable at this time. Regards, Nonimmigrant Visa Unit U.S. Consulate General Toronto, Canada --
