L1 to H4

Hi

I am currently on H1B visa, and my wife is working on L1B. My wife also has a stamped H4 visa ( based on my H1B ). Her L1 based project is expiring in a couple of months ( even though her visa and L1 petition would still be valid )

Since she has a valid H4 on her passport, can she stay back with me in the US after her L1 project is over ( while we file for her change of status from L1 to H4 ) or would it better if she goes back to India and then re-enters US on her H4

If she doesn't want to leave US, you just need to file a COS from L1 to H4, before L1 expires.
