Question regarding joining an IT consultancy firm on OPT

Hello,

I am an F1 student currently on OPT which started from June 2012 . It is valid till June 2013. I lost my job on Jan 2 ,2013. So, I am still on the 90 day grace period looking for a new job . I havent found yet, so I am planning to join a consulting firm which is providng me training and placement. My question is,

a) If I join a consulting firm which is E-Verified, during the training period , until I get my placement , does UCIS still consider me as unemployed(90 day period) ?

b) Should I report to UCIS about the consulting firm as my new job to avoid failing the 90 day grace period for OPT students ?

Please help me understand this.

Prove you are actually in training. However, if you are a recent graduate from the US, you should be fully qualified for a position so why are you doing this?
