I-797A/I-94 does not mention valid from date.

Hi,

I am a non-immigrant with F1 visa. My company processed my H1-B this year and I recently received its approval notice. However, the I-797A(approval notice) does not mention any 'valid from --- untill' date on it. (Ideally it should have specified the dates as Oct 1st 2011 till 3 years). The attached I-94 also does not specify any 'valid from' date.

I will soon be planning a trip to India. I don't know how safe will it be to travel with an approval notice not specifying any valid date.

What should I do to get a correct I-797 specifying the valid period on it? Can someone please help.
